Eira Joy Aringay is a writer, musician and creative entrepreneur based in Melbourne, Australia.
Hi there and welcome to my blog!
I really appreciate you stopping by.
It would appear from the above photo that autumn is my favourite season. I can confirm that this is in fact true, but is just one of many things that I love in this world.
My family and my faith are at the centre of my purpose and music and writing are two of my greatest non-human loves.
I also have a passion for directing and producing so in 2006, I graduated from a Bachelor of Communication in Media Studies, before launching into a three-year stint of trying every possible creative production avenue; from filmmaking to radio, to magazines and theatre.
However, after years of freelancing as a producer, I was in need of stability and eventually found myself in the corporate world of media sales at a major television network.
Working across the Australian media and advertising industries over the last decade has been incredibly eye-opening and has helped me hone my skills in producing content, project management, marketing strategy and client service and also leadership training and development.
Although my initial plan was to continue to ‘climb the corporate ladder’ (so to speak), certain events caused me to leave my full-time job at the end of 2016, and after much reflection about my career and future, I am now pursuing my dreams as a multi-passionate entrepreneur.
My goal across all of my passion projects is to utilise my skills, collaborate with others creatively and make positive social change in the world.
I feel so blessed to also have opportunities to share my love for music, performing at private functions with Melbourne events band Voodoo, and at my local church and community events with my sister in pop/soul duo, Gracelights.
I started this blog to bring together all that inspires me, in hope that it inspires you too.
Words have always been a saving grace in my life, they help me to express who I am, find clarity in my path, practice gratitude and importantly, share light with others.
The power of words is empowering, may we use them wisely and with love.
